Blue Palm Biofuel Sdn. Bhd. is an oil palm-based product manufacturing company located in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. Our company mainly handles and manufactures three types of solid biomass fuel, namely palm kernel shell (PKS), oil palm trunk (OPT) pellets and empty fruit brunch (EFB) pellets.
Since 2019, Blue Palm Biofuel Sdn. Bhd. reached an agreement to supply biomass materials to Shinmoji Biomass Power Plant (100MW) in Kyushu, Japan. Shinmoji Biomass Power Plant was certified by MITI under FIT scheme (fixed price of 24 Japanese Yen (=0.9 RM)/kWh for 20 years)
FIT Scheme
This scheme rewards various renewable energy based power plants by obliging electric utilities to purchase renewable-generated electricity at fixed prices and contract durations (20 years) set by the Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. With the introduction of FIT, the demand for biomass is increasing, and is expected to continue so in the future.
